ESC Mobility Hub in the Ruhr Region
What is it about?
For more than 7 years our association has been implementing projects as an accredited hosting and supporting organisation within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps Programme (ESC) – former European Voluntary Service – and in close cooperation with our European partners.
With the ESC mobility hub in the Ruhr Region, since 2020 we share our positive experience and the advantages of participating in the ESC programme with local institutions and young people and guide them in taking part themselves from the preparatory, through the implementation and follow-up phase. We want to make European mobility accessible to more young people – in particular marginalized young people – in Europe and prepare them for an active citizenship in the European context.
We are supported by the ESC and Erasmus+
Host young people for a ESC voluntary service in Your organization
Hosting young people from all around Europe as volunteers offers you an intercultural exchange and the chance to broaden your own horizons and at the same time become part of a European network. Volunteers also enrich your team and bring new ideas and impulses to your daily work.
For young people, participating in the European Solidarity Corps is a great opportunity to volunteer for a social and diverse Europe.
Further advantages of the ESC for host organisations:
Welcome ESC volunteers in Your organization - We support You!
Welcome young adults, including young refugees, in your organisation and Europe will become part of your everyday working lives. And you become part of a Europe based on solidarity and social responsibility.
As a host institution, you will not incur any costs: the volunteers will be fully funded by the ESC programme and your team will receive support in their everyday work from a young, committed person.
migration_miteinander will support you in all necessary steps from applying for the quality label, through the preparation to the implementation and follow-up of the voluntary service.

Why with us? Our expertise
As a young, dynamic and international team consisting of young people with and without migration biography, we understand the needs of young participants with and without refugee background. At the same time, thanks to our experience in the implementation of local and European short and long-term projects, we also know the perspective of a supporting organisation or reception facility and have the necessary know-how for a successful project management.
